HISTORY

1956 - CHANNEL ISLANDS

Lost on a deserted islet among the Channel Islands, Memorial Hospital – contrary to what the name would have you believe - is a place of oblivion and ingratitude. A mental institution that became a military hospital during the interwar years; today it houses a psychiatric unit.

Disfigured faces, broken and deranged men - here rot those that the rest of the world no longer wants to see.

Under the scab of indifference, lie the germs of pain, resentment and fear that infect the soil and the hearts of men. The gangrene is made worse by the madness of those who exploit it as a tool of domination.

However, from this putrefying wound falls only terror.

TAKE ALL OF YOUR PAIN, SORROWS AND FEARS. LOCK THEM AWAY IN A COLD AND MISERABLE PLACE. LEAVE THEM THERE TO FESTER.

The project ASYLUM: THE ALDERNEY CASE is based on the universe of Edouard Guiton. The project combines the innocent aspects of childhood and the stigma of insanity, instantly eliciting a macabre fascination. Asylum fuses the survival-horror and alternate history genres to tell the story of a nightmare that is destined to go on and on.

And the worst is yet to come…

Thirdman will produce a collection of 54 mm hard plastic miniatures. For total immersion into the world of ASYLUM: THE ALDERNEY CASE, the collection comes with a book, which combines the forms of an art book and a graphic novel.

More to come soon!
